The Great Lakes

The Great Lakes serve as a major transportation corridor for the United States and are vital to commerce throughout the Upper Midwest region. Approximately 40 million tons of coal a year move across the lakes. Coal from all major United States coal producing basins is railed to port facilities and loaded into lake vessels for both utility and industrial customers alike. Coal Network can deliver many products to this region to meet an individual customer’s needs.
